Orbit 60 is the newest machinery protection platform from Bently Nevada, engineered to succeed the 3500 series while retaining compatibility with existing Bently Nevada transducers and field wiring. It unifies machinery protection and condition monitoring in one architecture, eliminating the traditional split between protection racks and separate diagnostic hardware.
The system uses distributed input modules that can be located close to the machine, reducing cabling while delivering high-resolution waveform capture on every channel. A flexible chassis supports simplex or redundant configurations for controller, power and network, so critical trains stay protected during maintenance and upgrades.
Cyber security is designed in from the ground up, with secure boot, signed firmware, role-based access control and network segmentation. Orbit 60 connects natively to System 1 for advanced diagnostics, and to control and historian systems through standard industrial protocols.
